About

Hi There! Let me tell you a little bit about me…

Lea Vargas (she/her) is a New York-based singer/actor originally from San Diego, California. In 2020, Lea relocated to New York in order to pursue her love of theater, where she attended Long Island University Post and achieved her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater. She recently graduated in May and is nothing but excited to step into her future!

Lea had always been the little girl to dance around the living room, singing songs such as “Big Girls Don’t Cry” by Fergie or “Break Away” by Kelly Clarkson- But it wasn’t until she was 7 years old when she first fell in love with theatre. She first watched one of her closest friends perform at a local community center, and knew immediately where she was meant to be.

As a performer and artist, Lea's main objective is to convey meaningful, emotional stories. to make an impression on the audience that inspires them. Lea has always been a deep feeler, and the theatre allows her to channel those feelings into helping others follow the stories we portray on stage. That could entail spreading joy to the audience or challenging their perspective on life. As she makes her way into the industry, she hopes to reflect this ambition of hers through her projects to come.

Outside of theatre, Lea’s hobbies include painting, hiking, traveling, house plant care, beach trips, and building LEGO flowers! You may also find her behind a counter making coffee, working on her latte art in attempt to spread the love (:
